Metro Health issues two farmers market permits, obtained in person at 1901 S. Alamo St., San Antonio:
Bring a copy of your Metro Health permit — and your Food Handler / Manager certificate where applicable — to every market day.
Vendors selling taxable goods must have a Texas Sales and Use Tax Permit and post it at their booth. The permit is free from the Texas Comptroller at comptroller.texas.gov. Vendors collect and report their own sales tax. Government Hill Market requires proof of an active permit before booth space is assigned.
Food & Beverage vendors must provide a Certificate of Liability Insurance before their first market day. Farmers / produce vendors are exempt unless requested by management.
The market is held rain or shine. In the event of unsafe or severe weather, market management reserves the right to cancel. If the market is canceled, vendor deposits will be refunded in full.
The vendor retains all liability and assumes all risk of loss and/or damage to property, merchandise, or equipment — on site or in connection with transportation, display, storage, and sale of merchandise at Government Hill Market.
Government Hill Market and its owners, partners, staff, and contractors assume no liability for any reason for vendor property, merchandise, the actions of vendors or their helpers, or any loss or damage due to circumstances beyond their control. Vendors agree to indemnify and hold harmless Government Hill Market and its associated staff, partners, and management from any and all liability.
