Be set up and ready to sell by 3 p.m. Keep your booth up and staffed until 6 p.m., even if you sell out. Do not break down or move your vehicle until the market closes at 6 p.m. No vehicles may enter or move through the market during open hours.

Bring your own canopy, tables, chairs, and extension cords if you need power. Tables must be draped or covered. Keep all merchandise, signage and equipment inside your space, and display a sign with your business name.

Weights are required on every leg. The market uses no ground stakes, so weights are your only wind protection.

Tell us in the application if you need electricity so placement can be arranged. Clean your booth area at close. Food vendors haul away their own grease and cooking waste; never put it in market trash, on the ground or into drains.

Keep a working fire extinguisher in your booth and follow San Antonio Fire Code requirements for propane and open-flame equipment.

Food and beverage vendors must hold the San Antonio Metro Health permit that applies to their products and operation. Metro Health issues a $75 annual Farmers Market permit for prepackaged goods and eggs, and a $100 annual On-Site Preparation permit, which requires a Food Handler or Food Manager certification in the booth. Under Texas law, a qualifying cottage food operation cannot be required to get a local permit, and Texas DSHS does not require one for whole, uncut fruits and vegetables where it has jurisdiction; confirm with Metro Health what applies to your products. Vendors selling taxable items need a Texas Sales and Use Tax Permit, posted at the booth. There is no fee to apply. We require proof of an active permit before booth space is assigned; enter your permit details in the application. Texas Comptroller ↗

Market rule: food and beverage vendors provide a Certificate of Liability Insurance before their first market day. Farmers and produce vendors are exempt unless requested by management.

Any weather cancellation is posted on this website, and approved vendors are contacted directly.

Vendors are responsible for their own property, merchandise and equipment and agree to hold the market harmless. The full terms are in the vendor instructions and are accepted when you sign the application.
